TikTok monetization in Morocco: what is open and what pays in 2026
As of October 2026, TikTok's Creator Rewards Program is not open in Morocco: it is limited to eight countries, including France and the United States. Neither is TikTok Shop. Some Moroccan creators receive LIVE gifts, but TikTok does not publish its country list. For a Moroccan TikToker, most income comes from paid partnerships and UGC.

Does TikTok pay creators in Morocco?
Not for your views, at least not through the official programme. The Creator Rewards Program, which pays for original videos over one minute based on qualified views, is open in October 2026 to creators based in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. Morocco is not on the list.
There are two sources of money. On one side, what TikTok itself pays: the rewards programme, LIVE gifts and subscriptions. On the other, what clients pay, whether shops, brands or individuals, for a sponsored video or a UGC video.
In Morocco, the second source is what most creators live on, because it does not depend on a programme reserved for certain countries.
Which TikTok monetization programmes are open in Morocco?
Here is the status of each programme, checked on TikTok's official pages on 29 October 2026:
| Programme | Open in Morocco? | Main conditions |
|---|---|---|

| LIVE gifts (Diamonds) | Used by Moroccan creators; TikTok does not publish the country list | Age 18, 1,000 followers to go LIVE (threshold varies by region), account in good standing |
| Subscriptions | Not stated: TikTok refers to “select regions” | Age 18, 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the past month, or the LIVE requirements |
| TikTok Shop (selling and affiliate) | No: Morocco is not among the Seller Center markets | Be based in an open market |
| TikTok One (Creator Marketplace) | Not stated: open where “TikTok One has launched” | Age 18, 10,000 followers (varies by region), 1,000 views and 3 posts in 30 days |

How do LIVE gifts work on TikTok?
During a LIVE, viewers send virtual gifts bought with coins. TikTok awards you Diamonds based on how popular your LIVE is.
The official conditions: be 18, be able to go LIVE (1,000 followers, a threshold that varies by region), live in a country where LIVE gifts are available, and keep your account in good standing. TikTok says LIVE and gifts are not available everywhere, without publishing the list.
The Moroccan press describes creators who run LIVEs with gifts and turn their Diamonds into money, noting that the creator only receives a fraction of what viewers spend (Le Matin, December 2025).
So treat LIVEs as irregular extra income, not as a salary.
Why are partnerships still the main income for Moroccan TikTokers?
A client pays you directly for a video posted on your account, or for a UGC video they run in their own ads. The price is agreed in dirhams and does not depend on which countries TikTok has opened its programmes in.
These are the market ranges for TikTok in Morocco, as of October 2026:
| Tier | Followers | Sponsored TikTok video | UGC video (not posted) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nano | under 10,000 | 300 to 2,150 MAD | 150 to 1,200 MAD |
| Micro | 10,000 to 50,000 | 2,150 to 7,200 MAD | 1,200 to 4,000 MAD |
| Mid-tier | 50,000 to 250,000 | 7,200 to 26,000 MAD | 4,000 to 14,500 MAD |
| Macro | 250,000 to 1 million | 26,000 to 86,500 MAD | 14,500 to 48,000 MAD |
For the same audience, a TikTok video is worth about 0.9 times an Instagram Reel, and a UGC video about 0.8 times an Instagram post. The detail is on the TikTok rates page.
Example: a food creator in Casablanca with 25,000 followers sells two sponsored videos a month at the micro-tier median, about 4,300 MAD. She takes in about 8,600 MAD, plus whatever her LIVEs bring.
How do I land my first paid partnerships on TikTok?
- Pick a clear niche (food, beauty, tech, comedy) and a city: a local business looks for a local audience.
- Publish your packages and prices in MAD on a public profile, such as your Kreators creator profile, so clients can find you in the TikTok creator directory.
- Set a consistent price with the rate calculator.
- Prepare a one-page media kit: audience, cities, engagement, sample videos. See the media kit guide.
- Offer UGC to businesses that run ads: they are buying the video, not your followers.
- Write directly to businesses in your city with a specific video idea. The step-by-step is in the paid partnerships guide.
Do I have to declare my TikTok income in Morocco?
Yes, what you collect from clients has to be declared. The auto-entrepreneur status is often the simplest way to start: see the auto-entrepreneur guide and the influencer tax guide.
This is not tax advice: have your situation checked by an accountant.
