How to find, contact and pay an influencer in Morocco for an ad
To find an influencer in Morocco for an ad, set a goal and a budget first, then search by city, niche and platform in a directory where creators publish their prices in MAD, such as Kreators. Check engagement and that the audience is local, contact the creator directly, often on WhatsApp, and pay a deposit, then the balance after the post.

Where do I start?
Start with what you want to achieve, not with an influencer's name. Launching a new café in Rabat, selling a collection online or filling an event in Marrakesh need different audiences and formats.
Then set a total budget. With 5,000 MAD, a big national account is out of reach (a macro post starts around 18,000 MAD), but you can book several nano creators from your city or one or two micro-influencers. Our micro-influencer guide explains the choice.
How to find an influencer, step by step
- Write a measurable goal: 50 bookings, 200 shop visits, 30 WhatsApp messages.
- Pick the platform: Instagram for fashion, beauty and food, TikTok for short video, YouTube for tech and detailed reviews, Snapchat or Facebook depending on your customers' age. If in doubt, ask the creator for their audience's age.
- Search by city and niche in the creator directory: a Casablanca influencer mostly reaches Casablanca.
- Open three to five profiles and check engagement, recent content and audience (see below).
- Compare published prices with market ranges in Morocco (see below).
- Send a short brief: product, format, date, budget, what you provide.
- Agree in writing on the content, posting date, price and usage rights.
- Measure the result with a promo code, a tracked link or a QR code per creator.
How do I check an influencer is genuine?
- Engagement: average the likes and comments on the last ten posts, divide by followers and multiply by 100. Compare with accounts of the same size in the engagement rate calculator: the rate usually falls as an account grows.
- Comments: real questions and conversations beat rows of emojis.
- Audience: ask for a screenshot of their insights (country, cities, age, gender). For a local business, most of the audience should be in Morocco.
- Consistency: an account that posts every week keeps an attentive audience.
- Past partnerships: see how the creator presented other businesses or products, and whether those clients came back.
How much does an influencer cost in Morocco?
The price mostly depends on audience size and format. These are the market ranges for an Instagram post, as of October 2026:
| Tier | Followers | Instagram post |
|---|---|---|
| Nano | under 10,000 | 200 to 1,500 MAD |
| Micro | 10,000 to 50,000 | 1,500 to 5,000 MAD |
| Mid-tier | 50,000 to 250,000 | 5,000 to 18,000 MAD |
| Macro | 250,000 to 1 million | 18,000 to 60,000 MAD |
| Star | over 1 million | 60,000 MAD and up |
A story costs about 40% of a post and a Reel about 1.6 times a post. For a micro-influencer, allow 600 to 2,000 MAD per story and 2,400 to 8,000 MAD per Reel. The detail per platform is on the rates page, and the rate calculator estimates the price of a given account.
How do I contact an influencer for an ad?
- Who you are and what you sell, in one sentence.
- The format you want (a Reel, three stories, a UGC video) and the ideal date.
- Your budget, or a request for their rate for that format.
- What you provide: product, access to the venue, promo code.
- Whether you want to reuse the video in your ads, and for how long.
On Kreators, the WhatsApp button on a profile opens the chat with a first line already written: you add the package, the date and the budget.
Sample brief
Example of a brief to send after the first exchange. Half a page is enough:
- Client: a neighbourhood café in Rabat launching a weekend brunch.
- Goal: 40 bookings in two weeks, measured with the code BRUNCH10.
- Target creator: a nano food creator in Rabat, audience mostly in Rabat and Salé.
- Deliverables: 1 Reel of 30 to 45 seconds and 3 stories on the day it goes live, with the promo code on screen.
- Tone: natural, in Darija or French, the way the creator talks to their followers. No recited script.
- To show: the terrace, the brunch being prepared, the price and the address.
- Dates: shoot on a weekday, post on a Thursday evening, video approved 24 hours before.
- Budget: 2,500 MAD for the Reel and stories, 40% deposit on confirmation, balance after the post.
- Rights: reuse of the Reel in ads for one month, included in the price.
How do I pay and secure the collaboration?
- Put everything in writing before you pay: deliverables, posting dates, price, number of revisions and usage rights. Start from our influencer contract template.
- Pay a 30 to 50% deposit on signing, and the balance after the post, once the content is live and matches the brief.
- If the creator is an auto-entrepreneur, ask for an invoice that shows their ICE. Above 80,000 DH of services bought from the same auto-entrepreneur in a year, the client withholds 30% at source on the excess (General Tax Code, article 73).
- Pay in a way that leaves a record, such as a bank transfer, and keep the written messages.
- If the creator does not post: remind them in writing of the agreed date, offer a new firm date and do not pay the balance. If they still do not post, ask for the deposit back as set out in your agreement.
On Kreators, you pay the creator directly: Kreators never holds the money. Read our trust rules before you pay a deposit.
Costly mistakes
- Choosing a creator for their follower count without checking where the audience lives.
- Putting nothing in writing: date, number of pieces and revisions must be clear before you pay.
- Imposing a word-for-word script: followers spot a recited ad.
- Not measuring: without a promo code or tracked link you cannot tell which creator worked.
